Dear 'M',

Had a tiring but fun weekend! Went to do old clothes collection with the Sciclub members in the morning. Although it was a tiring process, it's rather fun but the planning is not as nicely planned as we wasted time in waiting for the truck to unload the "goods" before we can load up what we've collected in other sectors. However, it does bring back memories of the numerous charity collections I had done over the years. To my reluctance, I left early as I have to rush to attend a early Christmas gathering with my poly friends at Pasir Ris downtown east. Stepping into the facility, I really felt like I have just been let out of a cage which I have been trapped in for a very long time. The whole place has changed alot. Very different from what I remembered it from the last time I visited the place.

The gathering was really fun, considering the large number of turnout and people returning from their studies overseas. We really did enjoy ourselves and although we have indeed grown up, a number of us still ooze the old familiar presence. I need not mention who the most obvious person is as I guess you all would know who I'm referring to. :P Have been having a bad sleeping pattern lately. Sleeping just before the sky turns into grey. Haha...better stop that soon as school is going to start in the blink of the eye. Anyway, Ailian introduced me to a pianist just now. He's called Rob Costlow. I'm listening to his pieces as I am typing this entry now. I must say they are truly brilliant musical pieces. I am really enjoying those melodies generated from the black and white keys. If you guys are interested, his website "http://www.robcostlow.com/" has the streaming of his piano pieces.

A short description of his life:

By the time he was twelve, Rob Costlow was trying his piano instructor's patience by adding his own endings to songs during lessons and recitals. "I literally despised taking lessons and especially practicing other people's music. It just wasn't for me. I had so many notes running through my head, I wanted to create my own music," admits Rob. This soon brought an end to the lessons that began at age five. Rob realized that his musical future was going to take a different path than the one set by his teachers... ... ...

Dear 'M',

I went swimming today!!! Haha...amazing considering the last time I swam for 2 hour straight none stop was like when I was way back in primary school. At least I did not lose touch with this life skill. Got darker in the process. Haha...feeling very tired now but I in a pretty upbeat mood. Not sure why but I happy I'm feeling this way considering the recent weeks of trauma from exams. Haha...watching Iron Chef on youtube current. I so in love with the show since I was very young back then. I remembered I stayed late in the night just to catch this variety show whereby a guest chef battle out with either of the 4 iron chefs which are considered the best in Japan at that time. I'm also reading my favourite medical thriller books. Currently reading body double by Tess Gerritsen. I so like this genre of books cause as you keep reading, you just can't wait to find out what will happen next!!! Haha...

"A rip-roaring plot with scares and bumps on every page...A first-class modern thriller, but certainly not one for reading at night" A comment on the book by Guardian.

Dear "M",

It's been a long time since I've spoken here. Time really flies and I completed my national service for my country just 5 months ago. Looking back, I recalled that my last post was about what my future lies beyond my NS days. I was planning to study aboard to further my horizons but decided to stay put in Singapore, not wanting my aging parents to worry about me when I am aboard studying. I enrolled in National University of Singapore and started school about 4 months ago. A new journey started for me then as I continued my journey to achieve my goals. New friendships have been forged but my old friends I shall not neglect. Friendships are meant to be cherish as they are like diamonds in our memories. A semester has just finished in NUS and I'm bracing myself for another challenge in the next coming semester.
